ABOUT : Tim Borski

Tim Borski paints unique wildlife art in watercolor, oils and acrylics, and he can be found daily in his studio in Islamorada in the Florida Keys or fishing in the backcountry -- allegedly gathering inspiration and photographs for his art. Tim has a style all his own. His paintings primarily focus on bird and fish species and he waxes eloquent about their attributes and habitats. An occasional landscape or T-shirt design also graces his easel.

Tim likes to write as well and has been published in several magazines. He writes a quarterly how-to column on flies, and has about a dozen trademarked fly patterns to his name through the Umpqua Feather Merchants. He recently produced a fly-tying DVD which showcases how to tie specific flies and shows them in use on the water. See the DVD page for details. Borski illustrated Flip Pallot's coffee table book Memories, Mangroves and Magic, and twice appeared on Pallot's ESPN fishing show, Walker's Cay Chronicles. He also recently appeared on Rick Murphy's Sportsman's Adventures in an episode featuring shark fishing.

ABOUT : Jonathan Milchman

Jonathan "Mitch" Milchman has been fishing since he was big enough to hold onto a fishing pole. Growing up in New York and Minnesota provided him with backdrops for a variety of fishing activities. In college, Jon earned a BS in business from Drake University.

His love of fishing brought him to the Florida Keys where he was able to successfully combine his business knowledge with fishing. Jon worked hard to become one of the finest fishing guides in the area and he enjoys sharing the wonders of the backcountry waters with his anglers.

Jon loves saltwater fly fishing and he thrives on the excitement of finding the next tailing bonefish or rolling tarpon. Jon's newest passion is videotaping special moments on the water so that he can share his memories with family and friends. This enthusiasm has led to the debut of Borski Ties Flies. Whenever the weather allows, you can find Jon on the water with either a video camera, pole or fishing rod in hand. In his spare time, Jon enjoys editing video footage, tying flies, walking his dog, cooking gourmet meals, spending time with his lovely wife and, of course, fishing!
